STAMPlorations October 1st 2019 Stencil Anything Goes Challenge

are excited about starting our new season...Oct 2019 thru June 2020 (minus Feb)!

I have switched from the CAS Card Challenge to the new Stencil Challenge:-)

Challenges posted on 1st day of the Month with Reminders posts on 15th of the Month.
You have until the last day of the month to play along.

Here is my stencil card!

I began by coating mixed media paper with white Gesso using wide paint brush.

Let dry and secured my ARTplorations "Peeking Dahlias Stencil" to
paper with masking tape.  Used sponge dauber to add Distress Oxide Inks thru stencil.
Next sponged stencil with clear Versamark and heat embossed with Clear EB Powder.

The shine is so beautiful and acted as a resist to add,  sponged with paper towel blue Brushos
to background and "Make Marks 3" heat embossed star like marks to background.
Next I splattered background with blue acrylic paint.

Die Cut my card front with CUTplorations "Crazy Double Running Stitch Nesting Dies"
and popped up stamped and heat embossed STAMPlorations :"Carved Flowers" sentiment.

Attached to card base and Done!  Loved the stenciling and mixed media products.

Sharing a Close Up that shows the shine from the heat embossed stenciled flowers,
stenciled marks and stamped sentiment.

We would love to have you play along in our STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge.  Hugs..

STENCIL CHALLENGE GUIDELINES
This challenge starts on the first of the month at 3 am Pacific time and ends on the last day of the month at 11:55 pm Pacific time.

  • Your project(s) can be anything -- cards, tags, layouts, mixed media, etc.
  • You must use a stencil or stencils (any brand) in your project(s) - if it isn't obvious that you used a stencil in your project, your entry may be deleted or will not be eligible to win.
  • Non-STAMPlorations products in entries are OK.
  • You can enter as many projects as you wish as long as they are in separate blog posts and that they are new and not created prior to the start of the current month's challenge.
  • Your project photo must be posted in full in your blog post to be eligible to win and receive the corresponding prize. Please don't link up to our challenge if you're only showing a sneak peek of it (as is the case if you made it as a design team project for another company). In the same vein, please do not link up your project if it's solely to promote another company.
  • You must display the challenge graphic in your post (if linking from your blog) and link back to the challenge post post (not just the main blog) in order to be eligible to win (and receive the corresponding prize).

    1. I think I used shades of red and orange, but no pink. It is always fun to combine colors and end up with shades that were not planned:-) I loved the shades of Brushos and I know you do too, Christine. Hugs..

  11. Congratulations on joining the new team, Nancy! You have so many wonderful stencils so you're perfect for this challenge as Designer. The shine and the colors of the stenciled-then-heat embossed dahlias are so beautiful. The blue ink on the gesso primed background has some visual texture and the matte-look makes a great contrast to the shiny flowers. Thanks for the close-up! Hugs.. Hideko
