STAMPlorations Special Stamps Release

STAMPlorations Blossom Dreams Special Release!

I am showcasing the new beautiful STAMPlorations "Blossom Dreams" stamp set
designed by Shery.

The set has 8 wonderful sentiment phrases that can be used for
many occasions.  A really fun set to use for creative artsy cards.

My 1st Card

I used an Alcohol Ink on Yupo paper background from my stash and
covered with ARTplorations "Evolution" Stencil.  Next lifted the colors
using mini blending tool with foam pad and T.H. Alcohol Lift Ink.
Lifted AI with paper towels.  Worked great.
I Loved the artsy results.

Then Die Cut with CUTplorations "Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle
Nesting Dies" .  Burnished with paper towel to bring out the shine.

Next placed image in MISTI and stamped "Blossom Dreams" sentiment
with Black Archival Ink a couple of times for good coverage.
Set aside to dry overnight to prevent any smearing.

Popped up main image with fun foam onto Die Cut card front and Done!
A quick artsy CAS card design that I loved!

My 2nd card.

I die cut Strathmore Mixed Media paper with the 2nd largest Running Stitch Die.
Then placed in MISTI and arranged all my stamps from Bloom Doodles.

Next stamped flower images with Versafine Black pigment ink and removed from
MISTI to heat emboss with SU Clear EB Powder.
Returned to MISTI and stamped Bloom Dreams sentiment and heat embossed.

The Bloom Doodles cards by our very talented Deepti for her Oct 2018 Spotlight Project
inspired me to add a watercolored rainbow wash background!

I used Kuretake Gamsai watercolors for the wet on wet watercolor technique
using a #12 round watercolor brush to apply the paints starting with the red, then yellow,
greens, blues and purple.

I forgot and colored the flowers.  Looked at Deepti's cards again and realized I should have
left the flowers white.  No problem,  just stamped, heat embossed and fussy cut
new flowers and popped up with dimensionals and
added a SU black candy dot to flower centers.

Framed with SU Black CS and attached to SU Whisper White Thick card base
and Done!

I was very happy with the results of both cards.  Hope you like them too.

Be sure and check out Tanja's creative projects using the
new "Beautiful Friends" stamp set.

And our very Talented designer of the 2 stamp sets and owner
of STAMPlorations, Shery's 4 artsy One Layer Card beauties.

CAS Watercolour Card Challenge: Red and Pink

I am joining in the fun at CAS Watercolour Card Challenge
Red and Pink hosted by Marcia.

I chose to make a card with heart stenciling red and pink,
but not a Valentine card.

My Card

I placed my ARTplorations Clustered Hearts Stencil designed by Sanna Lippert
over Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
Then watercolored with diluted Distress Inks: Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries
using paint brush and loose watercolor technique.

When dry die cut with CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Die.

Placed image in MISTI and Stamped STAMPlorations "Blossom Dreams" sentiment
with Versafine Black Pigment Ink and heat embossed with SU Clear EB Powder.

Then I decided my image needed more so replaced stencil and
outlined a few of the hearts with black Ultra Fine Sharpie and added WOS to the hearts.

I painted a pink/red border on the main image and popped up
with fun foam onto die cut card front and Done!

You still have until the 24th to play along in the CAS Watercolour Card Challenge.
Hugs..

CAS Stencil Card Challenge: Powdered Inks Reminder

Already time for our CAS Stencil Card Challenge Reminder Cards

Loving all the gorgeous and creative cards by out talented DT and in
the growing gallery by our friends:-)

My Card using Lindy Magicals with a leaf stencil.

I made my Magicals Powdered Ink stencil background at our May 2018 Retreat.
I used Loll's Lindy Magicals,  so do not know the names and Christine's
leaf stencil.  Again no name,  but think it was a TCW Stencil.

I tried hard to get a close up photo of the Lindy Magicals shimmer,  but no luck.
If you are familiar with Lindy Magicals you know there is gorgeous glimmer on my card.

All I did was die cut my background with Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Die
and used MISTI to stamp with Versafine Black ink my STAMPlorations
Say it Big "Simple Life" sentiment and heat embossed with SU Clear EB powder.

Next popped up image with fun foam onto SU Whisper White Thick CS card base.

And Done!

My 2nd card using the negative Stenciled Magicals background.

Loll's Stencil Powdered Video (8:16) is a great example of how to make positive and
then a negative background at the same time.
Always a plus to end up with a Twofer!

I finished this negative background by die cutting the card front with Penny Black
Antique Frame Die and set aside.  Then die cut the SU Whisper White Thick card front.

Next place die cut image in MISTI and stamped and heat embossed
SSS sentiment (Bouquet of Thanks).

Attached white frame to card base with 3M foam dimensionals.
Then Inlaid main image and added die cut frame.
I loved the de-pressed look of the card front.

Like my 1st card I could not get a photo of the pretty Magicals Shimmer.

Enjoy and hope you play along with our new CAS Stencil Card Challenge.
You have until the 24th to play along.
Hugs...Nancy

STAMPlorations February Extra Projects !

Here is my Extra card for the CAS Anything Goes without the color twist.

I love when I can use NBUS (never before used stuff).  My 1st time to use the
STAMPlorations wonderful Clustered Hearts Die.

I die cut the hearts die with Strathmore 350# Mixed Media paper. Yes, 350#!
Reminds me of Chipboard, but whiter.

I have discovered that the paper works great for die cutting solid or with few details dies.

I left the white pieces in the hearts and glued die cut hearts from
a piece of alcohol Ink Cling Wrap background from my stash.
I loved the dimensional effect.

Die cut a tag using the CUTplorations Stitched Tags Nesting Dies out of the same
Alcohol Ink background.  Then die cut a larger tag our of SU Whisper White
Cardstock (100#).  Popped the smaller tag up with fun foam and attached
to larger tag for a nice white frame.

Added the retired SU stitched ribbons then the hearts and die cut
retired SU....XOXO sentiment. Attached all to SU WW Thick cardbase.

As an after thought, I stamped on white cs the SU sentiment and heat embossed.
Now Done!

You have until the last day of the month to play along at STAMPlorations.
Happy Stamping,  Hugs..

I would love if you used my personal STAMPGIRLNANCY discount code for
20% off your next order.  Can often combine with STAMPlorations discounts too!

AAA Cards CAS Game #133: OLC Love

Playing in the AAA Cards CAS Game #133: One Layer Card with twist: Love.

STAMPlorations is the sponsor with a generous $25.00 Gift Code to their shop!

My One Layer Card using STAMPlorations Typografia stamp.

I loved how fun and easy this One Layer Card came together.

I used Strathmore Bristol paper for my cardbase.
Masked the white framing.
Stenciled the background with SSS Diamond Circles using Lindy Magicals
Powdered Inks.  I wish you could see the pretty shimmer.

I sprinkled the Curiouses Chartreus, Peony Scarlet and Crimson Autumn Maple
Magicals powders onto the stencil and spritzed with water.

Then removed stencil and after a couple minutes blotted lightly with paper towel.
Then watched the magic as the stencil image appeared.
I used Loll Thompson's Stenciling video for my technique, which was so helpful.

Next I used MISTI to stamp the STAMPlorations Typografia Romantique "Fall for You"
sentiment using Versafine Black pigment ink and heat embossed with SU Clear EB powder.

I rarely design One Layer Cards,  but was pleased with the dimension I achieved.
Thank you AAA for sharing your wonderful challenge.  Hugs..

CAS Christmas Card Challenge: Peace

This months CAS Christmas Card Challenge theme is Peace,
which we are all wishing for... Hosted by Colleen (One Smile lifts A Spirit)

Be sure and check out all the inspiring cards from the DT and the talented
Guest Designer

My Card

Keeping with the tree theme I used Gemund Woodland 110# Cardstock
for my cardbase.  Next dry embossed my card front with SU Woodgrain EB Folder.
using SU Wild Wasabi CS.

I actually used the debossed side so my trees and sentiment would lay flatter.
I attached the woodgrain CS to the cardbase with fun foam.

Then  die cut the CUTplorations PeaceLoveJoy Phrase sentiment out of Strathmore
Mixed Media paper and attached with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen.

The trees were die cut from SU Whisper White Thick CS with Impression Obsession
Die084-V Fir Trees and then I used the Encrusted Jewels Technique
to cover them with Wild Wasabi and White SU EB powder and glitter.

You can find all the Deets for the Encrusted Jewels technique Here on my June post.
I attached the trees with SU Mini Dimensionals and Done!

Quick CAS Christmas Card, since I had my Die Cuts in my stash:-)

STAMPlorations CAS Anything Goes Card Challenge: Optional color twist Cerulean Blue

Time for STAMPlorations CAS Anything Goes Card Challenge: Optional
Color Twist: Cerulean Blue.  Here is the link to the challenge!

You will love the gorgeous cards by the CAS DT.
I used Cobalt Blue for a shade close to Cerulean Blue.

Close up of pretty Wink of Stella Glitter and shine from heat embossing.

Isn't this the most beautiful shade of blue?
I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors #62 "Cobalt" to make a smooshed
watercolor background on Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
When dry I splattered with a less diluted shade of the Cobalt.

Next I die cut the solid dragonfly using the Dragonfly Layered Dies Set out of
my pretty blue background.  Then Die Cut SU Black CS with the lined Dragonfly
Layered Die.

The two small dragonflies were from the "Winged Things" stamp set.
I stamped them on the blue background with Versafine black ink and heat embossed
with SU Clear EB powder and fussy cut.

Set all the dragonflies aside and splattered the die cut card front with same Cobalt paint.

I attached all the dragonflies with SU Mini dimensionals and their tails with liquid glue.
Stamped the Birds of Paradise sentiment with Versafine black ink and heat embossed.

Attached and popped up card front with fun foam and Done!
I loved the bright colored dragonflies and fun sentiment.
I will be using for a get well card:-)

Enjoy and hope you get to play along.  The challenge ends the last day of the month.

Hugs..

CAS Stencil Card Challenge: Powdered Inks

I am thrilled to be hosting the February CAS Stencil Card Challenge: Powdered Inks.

We had such a successful 1st month of CAS Stencil Card Challenge entries.
Thank you to all our friends who joined in the fun!
Our Design Team has now been busy designing Powdered Ink cards for our 2nd month.

We would love to have you join the fun.
Time to get out your Brushos, Bisters, Colorburst, Magicals, Infusions, etc.
Powdered Inks.

Here is my card using Bister Powdered Inks.

Because I already had a stash of positive and negative images using
different stencils with different Powdered Inks and this is a CAS (Clean and Simple)
Stencil Card Challenge,  my cards took only minutes to design:-)

I placed ARTplorations Lupinus Stencil designed by Sanna Lippert
over my  Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
Next I sprinkled Bisters: Yellow, Blue and Green over stencil and spritzed with water.

Removed stencil quickly and turned over onto another Mixed Media Paper.
Then blotted both MM papers with paper towel. Let Dry.
Voila...Two backgrounds for my stash!

My background was designed using Loll's Video Technique

I die cut my background using CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle
Nesting Die.  Then placed in MISTI to stamp and heat emboss my sentiment.

Popped up with Fun Foam and Done!

Here is my 2nd card using
My Negative Bisters Pigment Ink Background :-)

Now if you watched Loll's video and/or read my description above you will
know exactly how I created this 2nd stenciled artsy beauty background:-)

The only difference is the sentiment.  Both sentiments on the cards were
heat embossed and were from the PTI Ways to say: Thinking of you.

I am so pleased to have 2 cards finished using backgrounds from my stash:-)
Enjoy and Happy Stenciling.  Hugs..

CAS Mix Up Card Challenge: Dimensional Die Cuts

I LOVE the February CAS Mix Up Card Challenge:
Dimensional Die Cuts hosted by the very talented Hideko, (Papercraft Boutique)

Be sure and check out the Gorgeous cards by the inspiring DT and
Talented GD Arlene (Sunday Stamper Papercrafts).

My card using Stamping, Die Cuts, Faux Enamel and Heat Embossing.

I had already had ideas for my Valentine for my DH Denny.
I knew I wanted to use this Faux Enamel die cut heart from my stash!
Hideko's Challenge really inspired me to finish my card today:-)

Here are all the Deets and photos of my 1st Faux Enamel bird card.
I made this heart sample the same day I made the birds.

For today's card I die cut an A2 Whisper White Thick card front using
Memory Box Large Circle Burst Die.
Then searched my boxes for a background for colors that went well with the heart.
I found the perfect cling wrap background using Distress Inks.

Attached background behind the die cut Circle Burst.
Then stamped and heat embossed PB Happy Snippet Sentiment
with SU Gold EB Powder. Popped up sentiment with dimensionals.

Next attached faux enamel heart with dimensionals and Done!
I LOVE the results and hope you do too!

The CAS Mix Up Card Challenge ends on the 24th.
So plenty of time to play along:-) Hugs..
