CAS Christmas Card Tree Challenge

I love the CAS Christmas Challenge for adding to my stash:-)

This month Hideko is hosting a "Tree" Challenge.
Perfect for the holiday season!
So many Awesome samples by the DT and GD, Barb (Barb's Studio Creations)

I got to use a new to me Memory Box Stitched Circle Trees Die.
I made 3 cards for my stash with background design.

My card using Alcohol Ink on acetate plus tissue background.

Close up for the glitter and shine from Nuvo Glimmer Paste and WofS

I had so much fun making 3 cards with this design and playing with
Alcohol Ink on Acetate backgrounds from my stash.

Here is a card using the background technique if you want more details.

Stashes are awesome for creating quick and beautiful CAS card designs:-)

I die cut SU Whisper White Thick CS with the circle trees die and
attached piece of background to back of die with scotch tape.

Next made a mask to cover the die.
Placed SSS Falling Snow Stencil over card front and added
Nuvo Glimmer Paste with a palette knife.  Removed stencil and mask.

Let dry, stamped sentiment and done!

Once I had figured out my design all the other cards were very quick:-)

You still have until the 24th to play along.
Thank you Hideko for your wonderful challenge, my friend.  Hugs..

Supplies:
Stamps: SU retired Christmas Greetings.
Paper: SU Whisper White Thick.  Acetate and Tissue.
Inks: Archival Jet Black. Alcohol Inks.
Accessories: Memory Box Stitched Circle Dies. SSS Falling Snow Stencil. Nuvo Glimmer Paste., Palette knife. Wink of Stella on trees and snow bank.

  1. Beautiful card Nancy! LOVE your new die ... think I might have to get one for myself. :) Gorgeous in white with the deep turquoise background. The tissue behind the Alcohol ink acetate adds more texture and looks like a winter sky. Perfect!! Always good to be able to make a few of one fantastic design to build your Christmas card stash. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Christmas! xx

  2. This is so pretty, Nancy! Your AI acetate tissue background is gorgeous! I love the colors and the texture. The Stitched Circle Trees die looks like it's very versatile. The close-up shows the beautiful sparkle of stenciled falling snow and the shimmer on the hills very well. The simple script sentiment at the bottom is a great choice. Thank you for sharing this beauty at CAS Christmas! Hugs.. Hideko
