Merry Christmas Die Cuts!

Are you finished with your Christmas Cards?

This is one of my last Christmas cards for 2017 and I Love it!
Such a fun way to end the year:-)

There was still one NBUS die from my T.H. Mixed Media Christmas
Dies set just waiting to be used.  Also a pretty Alcohol Inks on Acetate background with shades of  green,
that was sitting next to the die.  They were meant for each other!

Merry Christmas to all my 2017 Stamping friends!

Sharing a Close Up of the shine and glitter!

As many of you know...I Love Alcohol Inks on Acetate with Tissue Paper background.
And I love Dies.  I die cut the holly leaves and berries (notice the detached holly pieces) and set aside.

Next I die cut the leaves and berries on SU Thick Whisper White CS and then die cut the border using Penny Black "Antique Frames" (largest) die.

Then die cut the same Antique Frame on another piece of SU WW CS to attach under the die cut holly layer.  Then the fun began..adding all the die cut pieces like a jigsaw puzzle.

I wanted red not green berries, so I die cut the holly leaves again using SU Cherry Cobbler CS
and carefully placed the red berries.  All the inlay pieces were attached with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Next I die cut my sentiment with Poppystamps "Old Fashioned Merry Christmas" Die using Cherry Cobbler twice for Merry and Green Alcohol Ink scrap twice with WW CS for Christmas.
Attached 2nd layer to Merry and Christmas and then attached to card.

Popped up main image with Fun Foam and Done!
Love the results.

Enjoy and Wishing you all a wonderful Holiday Season with family and friends!

Hugs,

  1. Ha! You just left and I saw this card up close and personal. So pretty and so much careful detail (but I still got the prettiest of all your Christmas cards). What am I doing sitting here? Okay... I'm heading to Safeway. See you again soon!

  4. Wow, I love your Alcohol Ink cards, and this is no exception, Nancy! The holly leaves and berries are so pretty! The shades of green are awesome! The colors of the sentiment echo the leaves and berries.
And what a detailed work you’ve done – it IS like a jigsaw puzzle! :-)

  6. Beautiful card Nancy!! Great job inlaying all those small pieces. I love the variations of colours on your holly leaves with the AI background and tissue paper. The white shows through in places and really gives the leaves some visual texture. Awesome design, my friend! Happy Holidays to you too! xx

    1. Tedious, but worth the time. I am thinking now maybe I should try die cutting with Press and Seal to keep the pieces attached. I have never tried that technique...have you? I did give my card to a close friend, who really appreciated the effort...she is a stamper too:-) Hugs..
