ALtenew's Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop

I am excited to take part in Altenew's Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop  with the rest of the CAS Mix Up Design Team.  The Blog Hop is Altenew's way to say Thank You to 18 Challenge Blogs for all their Inspiration and Dedication.  Such an honor to be included in the Hop :-)

I used a flower and leaf from the beautiful "Peony Bouquet" Stamp set. They were stamped onto Mixed Media paper with Archival Jet Black ink.   I watercolored each image with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut.  I sprayed each image with my homemade shimmery paint spray.   Very pretty IRL!

My background was a piece of Yupo paper that I dipped into a shallow container of water that I had liberally dropped Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks: Lemonade and Wild Plum for a marble effect.  I framed the background by die cutting with my CUTplorations "Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies" (medium die).

I shaped my flower with my bone folder and popped up with foam tape and added the sentiment.

I am also adding my card to the CAS Mix Up September Challenge: Stamping, Floating Alcohol Ink Marbling and my choice Die Cutting, fussy cutting and spraying

Enjoy and hope you get to join the Altenew Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop.  Hugs....

  5. Wow, Nancy, great looking card. Love the color combo in the b'grd and flower. And the touches of shimmer spray on the flower popped up with foam tape. Thanks for details on how you got this terrific look.

  6. Your alcohol ink background is SO pretty, and a perfect match to your peony. I just bought my first Altenew stamp set and have made a couple of cards with it that I really liked. Thank goodness for having a MISTI, though, for that 2- and 3-step stamping!
