Less is More Tactile Challenge

I have been wanting to play with vellum after seeing my girl friend Bonnie Klass of Stamping with Klass using vellum beautifully on many of her gorgeous cards.  The new Less is More weeks 286 & 287 Challenge: Recipe: Use Something Tactile was perfect to give me an idea for vellum.  I think you definitely want to "touch" this Christmas card :-)  The challenge runs thru August 5th.

I stamped my tree from SU Evergreen onto the back of the vellum with Mossy Meadow.  I turned the vellum over and Heat Embossed with SU gold embossing powder the lined tree stamp from the same set.  The vellum from my stash already had the flakes of gold.

I die cut the vellum and card front with my CUTplorations "Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies".  Then attached my vellum piece with my SU Fine Tip Glue Pen,  which gave the bit of puckered dimensional look...a happy not planned effect!

I finished my card by Heat EB with gold EB powder the sentiment from SU Christmas Greetings (ret).

  11. The use of vellum always seems to announce "this is something special", which really goes well with your gold-embossed xmas tree.
