CAS Christmas Card Challenge July Santa

I am playing in the CAS Christmas Card Challenge July:  Santa Challenge
hosted by Barb who we are so happy is back after several months:-)

The challenge ends tonight so I am just in time to share my Santa cards.
It is a very busy time this time of year with all our gardening, etc.
Enjoy all the fun Santa CAS cards by the DT and in the Gallery.

Rules

My CAS version using a fun watercolored background of Santa
flying thru the sky with his trusty reindeer:-)

I punched 1" circle out of the watercolored and ink splattered sky
and inlaid a WC paper circle.
Then used Archival Jet Black Ink to stamp over background with
Visible Image "Christmas Eve" stamp set using MISTI.
Popped up main image with craft foam and attached to card front with Connect Glue.

I stamped the "Christmas Eve" sentiment and die cut with Spellbinders Hemstitch
Rectangles.  I used the same die cut set to die cut the "Christmas Eve" image.
Attached to card front with Connect Glue and Done!
Christmas Cards:-)

Photo of watercolored Christmas Card background before I decided to cut down
the rest of the backgrounds for a CAS version.

technique onto Canson Cold Press 140# and on Fabriano Cold Press 140#

CAS Mix Up (W) Things With Wings Reminder

Time for our CAS Mix Up Watercolor "Things with Wings" Challenge Reminder
post with wonderful CAS cards by our talented Design Team.
Beautiful and creative cards in our followers gallery too:-)

Thank you Linda for hosting this fun challenge:-)

I was inspired by my CAS Mix Up Teamie Bonnie's launch beauty!

Here is my Bird Hello card that I LOVE!!  Hope you do too:-)

Here is a photo of all the shine from the Gansai Tambi metallic Gem Watercolors:-)
It is like having 2 different watercolored cards:-)

I began by using Altenew "Bold Floral Drape" 3D EB Folder
to dry emboss the flowers on SU Basic White 100# CS.

I then trimmed the EB flowers and began using the retired SU
Bird Builder Punch.  I punched out the branch, bird and wings 4 times and
stacked using Connect Glue.

Then the fun...using #2 paint brush to watercolor with the Gem Colors:
Yellow Gold for center of flowers and top of bird head.
Green for branch,  Blue for breast and mixed Red, Yellow and Blue to
create a brown tone for the rest of the bird and wings.
Added eye with black marker.
Loved how my bird turned out.  A bit time consuming,  but well worth it!

Attached branch with Connect Glue. Then popped up bird with SU mini
dimensionals and set aside.  Added SU Basic Black narrow frame.
Added bird and attached to SU Basic White 100# Card Base.

Added stamped Altenew "Label Love" Hello sentiment and glued onto image
and Done!  I was so pleased with my Thing with Wings card:-)
Taking the photos was the hardest part,  but I just had to share the shine:-)

You still have until the 24th to play along.

Love and Hugs..

Supplies:
Stamps: Altenew "Label Love" sentiment.

The Flower Challenge: Clean and Simple

I am playing in The Flower Challenge #70 CAS Clean and Simple Challenge.

I could not resist a CAS Challenge using new products from Altenew.

Quick Clean and Simple card design...
I used Altenew "Watercolor Stripes Stencil" for my background.
I laid an A2 size piece of Strathmore Mixed Media paper on to my
"Stick and Stamp Mat" and then covered with the stencil.
I love how the stencil sticks to the mat and no longer have to use masking tape.

Then used make up brushes to blend the yellow and green Distress Oxide inks
thru the stencil.  Removed stencil and placed paper in MISTI.
Stamped the Altenew "African Daisies" over the stripes background with Versafine black ink
and heat embossed with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder.
Used the same technique for the sentiment,  which is from the same set.

Die cut the border with Penny Black "Leaf Stitched Frames"
attached to SU Basic White 100# Card Base and Done!

I loved how my CAS card turned out and will be sending it to my
dear 93 year old friend,  Daisy:-)  Enjoy....

Love and Hugs,

Supplies:
Stamps: Altenew African Daisy.

Time for our CAS Mix Up (WC) Things with Wings Challenge hosted by our
very talented Linda (Life in the Craft Lane) also we have beautiful card designs by
our awesome Design Team.

Be sure and keep your designs CAS and use watercoloring as your main element.

My Stamped and watercolored fussy cut butterfly💕

I began by stenciling the SSS "Tumble Leaves" stencil.
Attached stencil to Strathmore Mixed Media paper with masking tape.
Used make up brushes to lightly blend Distress Oxide Inks:
Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass.

Removed Stencil and set aside the stenciled leaves.
Then used MISTI to stamp the Gina K Designs "Friendly Silhouettes" butterfly onto MM
paper.  Then stamped and heat embossed the butterfly with Versafine Black ink and
SU Clear EB Powder.  Fussy cut the shiny black butterfly.

Then the fun began..I used a #2 paint brush to carefully paint the butterfly with the
same 2 Distress Oxide Inks as the background and set aside.

Next I die cut the background layer with Penny Black "Leaf Stitched Frames".
Stamped and heat embossed just the butterfly antenna.
Shaped the butterfly with bone folder and popped up with mini dimensionals.
Stamped and heat embossed the STAMPlorations "Wonderful Friends' sentiment
and popped up with foam tape.

Attached card front layer to SU Basic White 100# CS and Done!
