Already time for the December STAMPlorations Challenges Extra Projects!

I am sharing an extra CAS Card Challenge Card with the optional color twist: Green.

Perfect challenge for making a last minute Christmas card
or a Christmas Thank You card.

A QCAS One layer Christmas Card!
I used an ARTplorations Holly Background Stencil,  sponging with
Distress Oxide Inks: Peeled Paint and Fired Brick
onto SU Whisper White Thick CS (100#).

Placed card in MISTI and stamped STAMPlorations Typografia
Christmas "Like Christmas" with Versafine Black ink and heat
embossed with SU Clear EB powder.

CAS Triple Challenges: Stars, Thank You and EB Resist!

I created this shiny shimmery star background in minutes using a leftover die cut
Memory Box Stitched Circle Trees Die.

I already had this piece of SU Specialty DSP that had embossed stars.
All I had done was sponge the paper with Distress Ink Faded Jeans
and sprayed with Sheet Shimmer Frost Spray.

Then scotch taped to the back of the die cut tree scene.

Used MISTI to stamp and heat emboss the SSS Thoughtful Messages and done!

Literally a 10 minute card because of all the leftovers:-)
The card is a 4 1/4" square format.  Perfect for a Christmas gift thank you.

Since I had all my supplies and more leftovers out on my desk, I made a Twofer:-)

My 2nd card is for the CAS Watercolour Card Challenge.

The SU Specialty paper had copper embossed dots that looked like snow falling.
I had already sponged with Distress Inks: Broken China and Faded Jeans
and then gave it a light spray of water to blend the colors.
I think it turned out beautifully.  I did use my sponge to blend the colored streaks.
The DSP is a glossy paper so blends easily.

Assembled the same as Card #1.
BTW, did pop up main image of both cards with fun foam.

Stamped and heat embossed the Thank You on this card too and Done!

Just realized both cards are using an Emboss Resist Technique on the backgrounds.
So these cards qualify for the CAS Mix Up Emboss Resist Challenge too:-)

Emboss Resist, Stamping and Die Cutting.

You have until the 15th to play along in all the CAS challenges.
Thank You Loll, Bonnie, DT's and GD's for a Inspiring 2018 of CAS Designs.

Merry Christmas dear friends and wishing you a wonderful holiday season
with family and friends.  Hugs..

STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge Anything Goes: Optional Color Twist Green

The last STAMPlorations CAS Anything Goes Card Challenge of 2018!

Just in time for last minute Christmas Cards using the Optional Color Twist:Green!

I placed my Christmas Tree 1 Stencil over a piece of Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
Adhered stencil with masking tape.

Then sprinkled Magicals Pigment Powder Inks thru the stencil.
Spritzed with water and carefully removed the stencil.

Let sample dry then stamped the Typografia sentiment with Gold Metallic Encore
pigment ink using MISTI. Heat embossed with clear EB powder.

Next die cut the sample with CUTplorations Stitched Rectangle Die for a nice frame.

Popped up main image using fun foam onto SU Whisper White Thick card base and Done!

Sharing photo of close up that shows the shimmer and shine.

CAS Mix Up Emboss Resist

Our last CAS Mix Up Challenge of 2018. What a Fabulous year of Challenges by
Loll and Bonnie and our very talented DT and GD's!
Be sure and check out the wonderful CAS designs this month by our DT and
very talented Guest Designer, BozenA (ArtCardBox).

Also a special announcement about Loll's new CAS Stencil Card Challenge:-)
I am thrilled to be one of the new DT members!

Welcoming Hideko (Papercraft Boutique) to the CAS Mix Up Design Team.
You are an amazingly talented CAS mixed media artist, my dear friend!

Julia is moving over to the new CAS Stencil Challenge and has been with
CAS Mix Up from the beginning.  Her mixed media photo tutorials were so inspiring.

Whew, so much news..Now back to the CAS Mix UP EB Resist Challenge!

Using Emboss Resist + Stamping + Heat Embossing, Sponging and Die Cutting

I kept my design very Clean and Simple, letting the Emboss Resist
technique take center stage!

I placed my SU Whisper White Thick card front in MISTI.
Stamped SU Tree image from "Christmas Lodge" (ret) with Versamagic Cloud White
Pigment Ink. Then heat embossed with Wow Bright White EB powder .
The tree is so shiny and pretty.

Next used T.H. circle blending tool to sponge my Distress Inks
over the heat embossed tree.  I started at the bottom using 3 different blue colors.
Used the darkest shade 1st, Emerald Lagoon,  then Salty Ocean and Broken China.
The colors have a tinge of green,  but photographed with all blue tones.

Then I die cut my main image using Penny Black Antique Frames Die.
Using the 2nd to largest Die.

Next used MISTI to stamp the SU Bells and Boughs (ret) sentiment.
I stamped with Faded Jeans DI and then heat embossed with SU Clear EB powder.
I stamped the sentiment again with clear Versamark and heat embossed again
with clear EB powder. I added a SU Rhinestone to the sentiment for a little bling.

Popped up main image and sentiment with fun foam onto card base and done!
The tree and sentiment are so shiny and pretty IRL.

Wishing happy holidays with family and friends celebrating your blessings.
With much Love and Hugs...
