Day 9 Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll & Friends!

Loll's Day 9 Twelve Tags of Christmas!

Loll's Guest Designer today is the Amazing BozenaA (ArtCardBox)!
Be sure and check out Loll and BozenaA's Elegant Tags!

Here is my Snow Flurries "Layered Snowman" Tag!

I have had so much fun creating with Shirley's (shirley-bee's stamping stuff) new layered stamp sets.  This time I used her Layered Snowman and actually made a snowman:-)

I started with a #8 Manila tag sponging with Salty Ocean Distress Ink.
It was darker than I wanted so covered with a light layer of White Gesso medium.

Placed tag in MISTI and stamped the body and head solid stamps using Archival black on the edges.
Next I watercolored with SU Smoky Slate using aqua painter.
Then stamped the body and head with the lined stamps using Archival Black ink.

The fun part was adding my snowmans accessories...lined arms, coal buttons, eyes and carrots and top hat!  The hat I fussy cut! I used only the lined arm stamps and the rest of the accessories I used both the solid and lined stamps.

I finished my tag with the CUTplorations Stitched Snow Hills Dies, Snow Flurries Sentiment stamped with black ink and SU snowflakes embellishments (ret) and SU ribbon and twine.

The Guidelines for the challenge are that it must be a mixed media Christmas Tag (any style/any size),  which includes stamping, plus at least two mixed media elements (techniques or products).

There will be samples by Loll and her Guest Designer every day until the 17th,  but you have until the 24th to link your tags to the challenge.  It is so great to get tags done ahead of the holidays!

Happy Holidays my friends, Hugs..Adding to STAMPlorations Never-Ending Anything Goes.

  1. This guy is just SO cute! I may have to have that set! Love the way you shadowed him with your watercolor too. He looks wonderful against your background and I've long forgotten about using gesso. Thanks for the reminder. The snowflakes are the perfect final touch!
