CAS Mix Up Sponging Christmas

I liked this Christmas card so much I made Four!

Here is a Close Up showing off all the glitter :-)

I had so much fun sponging over my Memory Box Stitched Circle piece of Arches Mixed Media paper using Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Broken China and Faded Jeans with my Tim Holtz mini sponging tool.  Whew...that was a mouth full!

I then splattered diluted acrylic paint using a #4 paint brush over the circle.  When dry I added SU Fine Tip Glue and SU Dazzling Diamonds glitter to some of the snowflakes.  Set aside to dry.

Next I stamped my pretty tree from STAMPlorations "Oh, Christmas Tree" stamp set and added Gold Stickles and when dry,  fussy cut the image.  I stamped my sentiment from the same set using Archival Jet Black ink and fussy cut, leaving a white border.

I had the SU EB folder "On Point" out for my last card,  so used it again for this card.  I love it because of the trees and the fact it is a CAS design.

It was fun putting all the pieces together.  I attached the circle image and sentiment with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen and the tree with dimensionals to the Dry Embossed card front.  Then attached the card front to my SU Whisper White Thick CS tent fold card base using foam tape for added dimension.

Four more cards for my stash...now back to my baking :-)  Happy Holidays my friends.

Thank you so much for looking and especially for your comments.  Hugs...

  3. Such a fantastic design Nancy! LOVE the pretty sponged circle with the splattered snow. Adding the dazzling diamonds really gives it so much sparkle. Same for your beautiful tree. LOVE how you've stamped in green and then added the gold stickles over top. Awesome design, especially with the dimension from your beautiful embossed background. xx

  6. Bet it's sparkly with the Dazzling Diamonds! Lovely shades of blue too! I like the CAS look of that embossing folder - I don't own it but ran a few backgrounds off at Loll's so have been using them lately.

    1. I meant 'trees' embossed background! Apparently I was so bedazzled by your glittery snow that 'diamonds' sprang to mind.
