I truly am thankful for my DH Denny. After 51 years, each year gets better...amazing, huh! We still love doing most everything together. Denny does not stamp, but he is an honest critique with a very creative eye.
I always make cards with a nature theme for Denny. Since we just got home from 3 1/2 weeks of camping and hiking in the Great Basin high country that is so gorgeous this time of year with all the beautiful Aspen tree colors, I just had to make Denny a card using my TCW Aspen Trees Stencil.
I taped my stencil down with masking tape over Yupo Paper and carefully placed the tip of each of the colors of Alcohol Ink bottles onto the stencil before carefully adding Citrus, Sailboat Blue, Sunshine Yellow and Sunset Orange.
I then removed the masking tape and stencil. Let the piece air dry. Buffed with paper towel and then replaced stencil and traced the trees using my Staedler permanent ink black marker.
I used Archival Black ink and my MISTI to stamp the sentiment and popped up a punched heart.
I am adding my card to these challenges:
